Rejuvenating your appearance for the new season.
It’s hard to believe the hot days of our Indiana summer are now being replaced with the cool, dry days of fall. Our days of walking around in a pair of shorts and a tank top while sipping an iced coffee are being replaced with jeans, sweaters and pumpkin spice lattes.
As we transition further into fall, it is important to update our skin care regimen to adjust to the changes in weather and our daily lives.
One of the most common problems that occurs during the fall is an increased dryness of skin. With the cooler temperatures and dry winds outside – not to mention the heater on full blast inside – your skin is more vulnerable to drying out and feeling itchy, tight and irritated. Hydration is key.
Even though it may be hotter during the summer, there is less humidity in the fall. In order to keep your skin looking healthy and hydrated, it is important to use a good moisturizer, such as one by Dermesse or SkinMedica, in order to help your skin better retain its natural oils to keep it moisturized.
A lot of times, the summer can also leave our skin looking aged or worn out. The sun can lead to the development of fine lines or wrinkles. It happens to all of us, but these pesky signs of aging don’t have to stick. Injectables like BOTOX and dermal fillers like Juvederm can be used to restore a youthful look for the fall as we prepare for a slew of social events like football couchgating, Halloween parties and the holidays in just a couple of months.
